A Look Inside: History and Art

The church first opened its doors on July 29, 1902. A generous person named Mr. Duncan Chisholm of Pitglassie helped fund its creation.

Inside the church, you can see amazing stained glass windows. These windows show pictures of different saints. Some of the saints featured are St Jude, St Lawrence, and St Anthony. These beautiful windows were made by Dom Ninian Sloane from Pluscarden Abbey.

The church also has impressive carved wooden surrounds around its shrines. These detailed carvings were created by Brother Auer. He was from Fort Augustus Abbey. Interestingly, Brother Auer's brother was a priest at this very church in the 1930s.
