Star City is a small town located in Monongalia County, West Virginia, in the United States. In 2020, about 1,779 people lived there. It's part of the larger Morgantown area, which is a group of towns and cities close together.

History of Star City
Star City was founded in the year 1907. It got its name from a local business called the Star Glass Company.
Star City Volunteer Fire Department
The Star City Volunteer Fire Department started in 1939. This department has firefighters who are all volunteers. Their EMS (Emergency Medical Services) staff includes both paid workers and volunteers.
The department responds to around 1,200 emergency calls each year. They provide firefighting and rescue services to Star City and nearby areas. They are known as Company 20 for fire services and Station 20 for EMS.
