Steglitz-Zehlendorf is a special part of Berlin called a borough. It was created in 2001 when two older boroughs, Steglitz and Zehlendorf, joined together.

This borough covers an area of about 102.50 km² (39.6 sq mi). As of 2018, more than 307,000 people live here. The current mayor is Cerstin Richter-Kotowski, who is a member of the CDU political party.
