He was married to Julia Carter for a time, but they later divorced. He then married Jean Franken, and they stayed together until his death. Steve Franken had three daughters. He was also a second cousin to the well-known senator and actor Al Franken.
His Acting Career
Steve Franken had a long and busy acting career. His most famous role was Chatsworth Osborne, Jr. in The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. This character was a rich and often snobby teenager.
He also appeared in the TV show The Lieutenant. Fans of the classic show Bewitched might remember him playing several different characters. Steve Franken was also in the 1986 movie The Party. He lent his voice to many animated characters too.
Steve Franken passed away on August 24, 2012, in Canoga Park, California. He was 80 years old and died from cancer.
