Sugao Kambe (神戸 清雄, Kambe Sugao, born August 2, 1961) is a Japanese football manager and former player. He was recently the head coach for Thai League 1 club Sukhothai.
Kambe has also managed several national football teams. These include the teams for the Philippines, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Playing Career
Sugao Kambe was born in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, on August 2, 1961. He loved football from a young age.
After finishing his studies at Waseda University, Kambe became a professional football player. He played for the Honda team from 1984 to 1990. During his time there, he played in 60 games and scored 2 goals.
Futsal Experience
In 1989, Sugao Kambe also played for the Japan national futsal team. Futsal is a version of football played on a smaller hard court, usually indoors. He was part of the team that went to the 1989 FIFA Futsal World Championship in the Netherlands.
Coaching Career
After he stopped playing football, Kambe started a new journey as a coach. He began his coaching career at Honda in 1990.
In 1991, he moved to Furukawa Electric, which later became JEF United Chiba. He coached there until 2001. He even stepped in as a temporary manager for the club in 2000 and 2001.
Managing National Teams
From 2002, Kambe took on the challenge of managing national football teams. He led the Philippines from 2002 to 2003. After that, he managed the Guam team from 2003 to 2005. In 2009, he coached the Northern Mariana Islands team.
Return to Club Coaching
In 2010, Kambe returned to JEF United Chiba. In October 2011, he became the main manager of the club.
From 2013 onwards, he moved to Thailand. There, he managed several Thai football clubs. His most recent role was with Sukhothai.
Managerial Achievements
Sugao Kambe has achieved success as a manager. One of his notable wins was in the Thai Division 1 League.
