Geography and Location
Summit is found in the middle part of Marion County. Right to its south is the city of Yellville, which is the main town of Marion County.
Getting Around Summit
The main road through Summit is Arkansas Highway 14. This highway connects Summit to Yellville in the south and goes northwest about 22 miles (35 km) to Lead Hill. Another important road is State Highway 202. It's also known as Park Avenue. This highway goes southwest about 1 mile (1.6 km) to meet U.S. Routes 412 and 62. If you head northeast on Highway 202 for about 7 miles (11 km), you'll reach Flippin.
Land and Water
Summit covers an area of about 1.2 square miles (3.1 square kilometers), and all of it is land. There are no large lakes or rivers within the city limits. Small streams like Town Branch and its East Prong flow through Summit. These streams eventually join Crooked Creek, which then flows into the White River.
