Super Yo-Yo (Japanese: 超速スピナー, Hepburn: Chōsoku Supinā, lit. "Ultra-fast Spinner") is an exciting Japanese story series about yo-yos! It started as a manga (a Japanese comic book) written and drawn by Takashi Hashiguchi. The manga was published in a magazine called CoroCoro Comic from December 1997 to August 2000. It was even translated into English and sold in Singapore!

Later, in 1998, Super Yo-Yo became an anime (a Japanese animated TV show). The show had 22 episodes and was made by a studio called Xebec. It aired from November 1998 to September 1999. The anime was also dubbed into English in Singapore in 2003.

There was even a Game Boy video game based on the series! It came out in Japan on September 18, 1998.

Story of Super Yo-Yo

The main character of Super Yo-Yo is a 5th-grade boy named Shunichi Domoto. He's really good at sports and often helps his school's sports teams.

One day, his friend Beso Kimura loses his yo-yo in a duel against a bully named Benkei Musashimaru. Beso asks Shunichi for help. Shunichi steps up and challenges Benkei to a yo-yo duel, and he wins!

After that, Shunichi is challenged by a super talented yo-yo player named Seito Hojoin. Shunichi makes fun of yo-yoing, and because of that, he gets beaten by Seito. This loss makes Shunichi determined to get better. He decides to enter Japan's Yo-Yo Championship to get his revenge on Seito.

Throughout the championship, Shunichi learns amazing new yo-yo skills. He also meets many new friends and faces off against powerful rivals. It's a journey of growth, friendship, and mastering the yo-yo!
