Suzuka Nakamoto (中元 すず香, Nakamoto Suzuka, ; born December 20, 1997), known as Su-metal, is a Japanese musician and singer. She is famous for being a member of the kawaii metal band Babymetal. She works with the talent agency Amuse Inc.. Suzuka has been part of three music groups created by this company: Karen Girl's, Sakura Gakuin, and Babymetal.

Suzuka's Early Life and Training
In 2002, Suzuka Nakamoto won a big contest called the Image Girl contest. This was for a toy makeup line called Jewel Drop, made by Bandai. After winning, she appeared in many commercials for Jewel Drop.
In 2006, Suzuka joined the Actor's School Hiroshima (ASH). This is a special school for performers. She studied there with another future member of Sakura Gakuin, Mariri SugimotoMorning Musume and a dancer for Babymetal.
. Suzuka was also seen as one of the top two students at the school, along with Riho Sayashi. Riho later became a member ofIn 2007, Suzuka signed with the talent agency Amuse Inc.. She joined them after being a runner-up in their "2nd Star Kids Audition" contest.
Joining Music Groups
Karen Girl's
In 2008, her agency formed a music trio called Karen Girl's. Suzuka was chosen to be one of the members. This group was introduced as a "little sister" group to the famous Japanese trio Perfume. Karen Girl's sang several theme songs for an anime show called Zettai Karen Children. The group stopped performing on March 31, 2009, when the anime series ended.
Sakura Gakuin and Babymetal's Start
In April 2010, Suzuka Nakamoto became a founding member of Sakura Gakuin. This was an idol group created by her agency. The members of Sakura Gakuin also formed smaller groups called "clubs." Each club released their own songs. Suzuka joined the "Heavy Music Club," which released songs under the name Babymetal. Other members of Babymetal from Sakura Gakuin included Yui Mizuno and Moa Kikuchi.
In the spring of 2013, Suzuka finished junior high school. This meant she had to "graduate" from Sakura Gakuin, as the group was only for girls up to junior high age. Her graduation concert was held on March 31 at the Tokyo International Forum.
After graduating, Suzuka continued to perform with Babymetal. The band became a separate group from Sakura Gakuin. Suzuka started using her stage name, Su-metal. Babymetal's first album, called Babymetal, was released in February 2014.
In 2018, Suzuka Nakamoto was ranked ninth on the Oricon News list for "2018 Rankings for Anticipation of New Adults." People praised her amazing singing voice. In October 2022, Suzuka was credited for the first time as a lyricist (someone who writes song lyrics) for a Babymetal song called "Divine Attack (Shingeki)."
Suzuka's Personal Life
Suzuka Nakamoto is the youngest of three sisters. Her second sister, Himeka Nakamoto, was a member of the idol group Nogizaka46. Both Suzuka and Himeka studied together at the Actor's School Hiroshima (ASH). They even sang together in a duo called Tween.
Suzuka's mother works with gemstones. She sometimes gives gemstone accessories as gifts to the members of Babymetal. Her father used to play in a rock band called Hooligans.
Suzuka often compares songs to different colors. She is also a big fan of the metal band Sabaton.
