Suzy Amis Cameron was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on January 5, 1962. Before she started acting in the 1980s, she worked as a model for Ford Models. She is well-known for her role as Lizzy in the movie Titanic. She also appeared in other films like Fandango and The Usual Suspects.
MUSE Global Schools
In 2006, Suzy Amis Cameron helped start Muse Global Schools with her sister, Rebecca Amis. This is a special school in Calabasas, California, near Los Angeles. It is an independent, non-profit school.
A Unique School Approach
Muse Global Schools uses a teaching style called the Reggio Emilia approach. This method focuses on children's interests and learning through experience.
Plant-Based and Eco-Friendly
In 2015, the school became the first K-12 school in the United States to offer only plant-based meals. This means all the food served at lunch is made from plants. Personal Life
In 1986, Suzy Amis married actor Sam Robards. They had a son named Jasper. They later divorced in 1994.
Suzy Amis and director James Cameron met while working on the movie Titanic. They married in 2000 and have three children together. In 2020, they also became the guardians for one of their daughter's teenage friends.
Suzy, James, and their family live in New Zealand. They have a farm in the Wairarapa region and a home in Wellington.
