Takanori Sugeno (菅野 孝憲, Sugeno Takanori, born 3 May 1984) is a Japanese football player. He is a talented goalkeeper who currently plays for Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo.

Takanori Sugeno's Football Journey
Takanori Sugeno might be considered a bit short for a goalkeeper, standing at 178 cm (about 5 feet 10 inches). However, he makes up for this with amazing agility and quick reflexes. These skills help him make incredible saves during games.
Early Career and Records
In 2006, Sugeno was part of the Yokohama FC team. Their defense set an amazing record in the J.League. They did not let any goals in for 770 minutes straight! This broke an old record from 1993. They also managed to keep their opponents from scoring in 7 games in a row. This helped Yokohama FC get promoted to the J1 League, which is the top football league in Japan.
In 2007, Takanori Sugeno was recognized for his great performance. He was named the J.League Rookie of the Year. This award goes to the best new player in the league.
Moving to Kashiwa Reysol
In 2008, Sugeno joined Kashiwa Reysol. Some people thought this was a surprising move because Kashiwa already had a good young goalkeeper. But Sugeno proved to be a valuable player for the team.
