Tala Ashe (born July 24, 1984) is an actress from Iran and America. Her full name is Talayeh Ashrafi. She is famous for her roles in TV shows like Smash, American Odyssey, and As the World Turns. Many people also know her as Zari Tomaz from the superhero TV series Legends of Tomorrow on The CW.

Early Life and Learning
Tala Ashe was born in Tehran, Iran. She moved to the United States when she was only nine months old. Tala grew up in Powell, Ohio, which is near Columbus. In high school, she was very active in theater. She acted in plays and also helped direct them.
College and Acting Schools
Tala went to Boston University. There, she earned a special degree called a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the School of Theatre. She also trained at two other well-known places. These were the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City.
Acting Career
Tala Ashe has acted in many plays. She performed in different theaters, including some Off-Broadway shows in New York. Her first role on screen was in a 2008 movie called Waiting in Beijing. In that movie, she played a character named Nadia. For this role, she was credited as Tala Ashrafi. After that, she used the name Tala Ashe for all her other acting jobs.
