Tamara Taylor (born September 27, 1970) is a Canadian actress. She is best known for playing Dr. Camille Saroyan, the head of the Forensic Division, in the popular crime show Bones.
More recently, she played the villain Sibyl in the seventh season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. She also had a main role in the first two seasons of the police drama Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Early Life and Acting Career
Tamara Taylor was born in Toronto, Canada. Her father is from Barbados and her mother is from Scotland. When she was a teenager, she decided to leave high school to try modeling and travel. Her mother supported her choice, saying that school would always be there for her.
Taylor began her acting career with guest appearances on many popular TV shows. These included NCIS, Lost, CSI: Miami, Party of Five, and Dawson's Creek.
Her first role in a movie was in the comedy Senseless, where she played the love interest of a character played by Marlon Wayans. She also appeared in the movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman in 2005.
Major Roles
Breakthrough with Bones
A small part in the movie Serenity led to a big opportunity for Taylor. Because of that role, she was able to audition for a new show starring David Boreanaz, who was also in Serenity. That show was Bones.
Taylor joined the cast of Bones in the second season as Dr. Camille "Cam" Saroyan. At first, she was only a guest star. The show's creator, Hart Hanson, planned for her character to be written out of the show after a few episodes. However, audiences loved her character so much that the writers decided to keep her. She became a main character for the rest of the series, appearing in 223 episodes.
Other TV and Film Work
After Bones ended, Taylor continued to act in television. She played a villain named Sibyl in the final season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. From 2021 to 2022, she starred as Angela Wheatley in the crime drama Law & Order: Organized Crime.
In 2023, she joined the cast of the drama series Snowfall.
Personal Life
Taylor is a second cousin by marriage to actress Neve Campbell. The two acted together on the show Party of Five.
Taylor was married to attorney Miles Cooley from 2007 to 2012.
