Tamara Taylor (born September 27, 1970) is a Canadian actress. She is well-known for her role as Dr. Camille Saroyan in the TV show Bones. She also played Sibyl in season seven of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and appeared in the first two seasons of Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Tamara Taylor was born in Toronto, Canada. Her father was from Barbados, and her mother was Scottish. She decided to leave high school to try modeling and travel the world. Her mother supported her choice, telling her that "School will always be there."

Taylor has acted in many TV shows and movies. She made guest appearances on popular shows like NCIS, Numb3rs, Lost, CSI: Miami, and Without a Trace.

Her Role in Bones

One of Taylor's most famous roles was Dr. Camille Saroyan in the crime drama Bones. She first appeared in the second season. The show's creator, Hart Hanson, originally planned for her character to be on the show for only a few episodes. However, fans loved her character so much that the writers decided to keep her. She became a main character for the rest of the series, appearing in 223 episodes.

Other TV Shows and Movies

Tamara Taylor also played Debrah Simmons in the 2005 movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman. She was Halle Berry's best friend in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. She also had a small role in Serenity, which was a movie that continued the story of the TV series Firefly.

More recently, Taylor was in the final season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Sibyl, a character who was one of the main villains. She also joined the TV series Snowfall in 2022 for its final season.

Tamara Taylor was married to attorney Miles Cooley from 2007 to 2012. She is also a second cousin by marriage to actress Neve Campbell, with whom she acted in the show Party of Five.
