Neve Adrianne Campbell (born October 3, 1973) is a Canadian actress. She is known for her roles in scary movies and thrillers. She has also acted in big Hollywood movies and smaller independent films.
Neve started her career in Canadian TV shows. She then moved to the United States. Her big break came when she starred as Julia Salinger in the TV show Party of Five (1994–2000). She became very famous for playing Sidney Prescott in the horror movie Scream (1996). This movie started the Scream film series. She has been in almost all of the Scream movies.
Neve also starred in other popular films. These include the horror film The Craft (1996) and the thriller Wild Things (1998). She also appeared in the drama film Panic (2000). Later, she starred in, produced, and helped write the story for the drama film The Company (2003).
After taking a break, Neve returned to TV. She had roles in shows like Medium (2007) and House of Cards (2016–2017). She also appeared in movies like Skyscraper (2018) and Clouds (2020). Currently, she stars in the crime drama series The Lincoln Lawyer (2022–present).

Early Life and Training
Neve Campbell was born in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Her mother, Marnie, was a yoga teacher and psychologist from Amsterdam. Her father, Gerry Campbell, was a drama teacher from Glasgow, Scotland. Neve's parents separated when she was two years old.
When Neve was six, she watched a ballet show called The Nutcracker. She loved it so much that she decided to learn ballet. She joined the Erinvale School of Dance. Later, she trained at the National Ballet School of Canada. She performed in The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty.
Because of many dance injuries, Neve switched to acting at age 15. She performed in the musical The Phantom of the Opera in Toronto. She also studied acting at John F. Ross Collegiate Vocational Institute. One of her classmates there was actress Tara Strong. Before becoming famous, Neve appeared in commercials for Eaton's and Coca-Cola.

Neve Campbell had a small role in the TV series My Secret Identity in 1991. The next year, she got her first main role as Daisy in the Canadian TV show Catwalk. She also appeared in other Canadian shows like Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Neve wanted to act in Hollywood. She moved to Los Angeles and auditioned for many roles. One of these was for Party of Five, where she was cast as Julia Salinger. This show started in 1994 and became very popular. Critics praised Neve's acting, calling her "television's most believable teenager." Party of Five was her breakthrough role.
After six seasons, Neve left Party of Five in 2000 to focus on movies. Her first big movie was The Craft (1996). This movie was a surprise success, earning $55 million. Neve Campbell has been married twice. She married Jeff Colt in 1995, and they divorced in 1998. In 2005, she started dating actor John Light. They married in 2007 and lived in London for five years. They divorced in 2011.
In 2012, Neve and her partner, actor JJ Feild, announced they were expecting their first child. Their son was born that year. In 2018, Neve announced that they had adopted a second son.
