About Tamara
Tamara Todevska was born in Skopje. She grew up in a family that loved music. Her father, Velko Todevski, was a music professor. Her mother, Brana, was an opera singer. Her mother's singing style influenced Tamara's deep voice.
Her older sister is Tijana Dapčević, who is also a singer. On 27 June 2015, Tamara married Aleksandar Dimitrovski. He was a basketball player. They have a daughter named Hana and a son named Daren.

Tamara's first official song was a duet with her sister Tijana. It was called "Igra luda" (Crazy game) and came out in 1997. Her music career really took off in 2003. She sang "1003" at the Budva festival in Montenegro. She came in second place there.
In 2005, her first album was released. It was titled Sino, which means "Blue" in English. Aleksandar Masevski was the music producer and composer for this album. Tamara had been working with him since 2004. The album was named "Album of the Year" in 2005. Some popular songs from the album include "Sino", "Molci, molci" (with Ronin), and "Ljubi, ljubi" (a duet with Tuna).
Tamara did well in the Macedonian Eurovision selection. She got 105 points and placed second. This was with her song "Kazi Koj Si Ti" ("Tell Me Who You Are").
Eurovision Success
In February 2008, Tamara won Skopje Fest 2008. She sang "Vo ime na ljubovta" with Rade Vrchakovski and Adrian Gaxha. This win gave them the chance to represent Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. The song became very popular in the Balkans. It was sung in six languages: Macedonian, English, Serbian, Turkish, Russian, and Albanian. A high-quality music video was made by Dejan Milicevic.
At the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia, they performed in the second semi-final. They sang the English version of the song, "Let Me Love You". They finished in 10th place in the semi-final. However, due to jury decisions, they did not make it to the final.
Todevska represented North Macedonia again in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. This contest was held in Tel Aviv. Her song was called “Proud”. In the final, she finished in seventh place with 305 points. She also placed first in the jury vote. This is North Macedonia’s best result ever at the contest.
