Communities in Osceola Township
Osceola Township is home to several smaller communities. These are often called "unincorporated communities" because they don't have their own separate local government. They are part of the larger township.
- Dollar Bay is a community about three miles east of Hancock. It's located on M-26, near where the Portage Lake Canal meets Portage Lake. Torch Lake is also nearby. Dollar Bay was first settled in 1887. It was planned as the Village of Clark in 1899, but it never became an official village.
- Osceola is another community within the township.
- Tamarack is an unincorporated community in the township.
