Tara Rushton (born 2 July 1984) is an Australian sports presenter and journalist. She is well-known for her work on television, especially for covering football (soccer) and other sports. As of 2025, she is a sports presenter for 10 News First Sydney.

Early Life and Education
Tara Rushton was born in Perth, Australia. She grew up in Victoria, on the Mornington Peninsula. Later, she moved to Sydney and attended Oakhill College.
After school, Tara studied journalism. She earned a Diploma in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her main focus was Media and Communications. When she was 18, she moved to London.
Career in Sports Media
Starting in Singapore
In 2010, Tara moved to Singapore. There, she started working as a TV presenter for Singtel TV's Mio Stadium channel. She hosted a show called Tiger Goals on Sunday. This show focused on the English Premier League, a popular football league.
Working at Fox Sports Australia
Tara returned to Australia in 2013. She joined Fox Sports Australia, taking over from another presenter, Mel McLaughlin. At Fox Sports, Tara presented many football matches. These included games from the A-League, the English Premier League, and matches played by the Socceroos (Australia's national men's football team).
She also co-hosted Sunday Shootout, a weekly show that reviewed A-League games. She worked alongside famous football experts like Mark Bosnich and John Kosmina. Sometimes, she also worked as a sideline reporter during live matches.
In 2015, Tara was nominated for an ASTRA award. This award recognized her as a top female presenter. She also co-anchored a show called UFC Fight Week for Fox Sports. This show covered news about the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Joining Network 10
In October 2021, Tara Rushton joined the Network 10 Sport Football Commentary Team. She became a sports presenter for their coverage of all A-Leagues, Matildas (Australia's national women's football team), Socceroos, and FFA Cup matches.
In December 2024, Tara was appointed as the main sports presenter for 10 News First Sydney. She started this role in 2025.
Personal Life
Tara Rushton has a mixed background. Her father is of Anglo-Celtic Australian heritage. Her late mother, Hillary, was part of the Anglo-Burmese community in Western Australia.
Tara is a big fan of the English football club Arsenal F.C.. She used to live near Arsenal's home stadium in Islington, North London. Her favorite player is the legendary Thierry Henry. Tara also played local football herself for Lindfield F.C. in Sydney.
In January 2016, she started dating former National Rugby League player Cooper Cronk. They got married on 14 December 2017. Tara and Cooper have two sons, who were born in 2018 and 2021.
