Amita Marie "Tata" Young (Thai: อมิตา มารี "ทาทา" ยัง; born on December 14, 1980) is a very famous Thai singer, actress, and model. She became well-known in Thailand when she won a big national singing contest at just 11 years old.
After that, she signed a record deal and released her first album, Amita Tata Young, in 1995. This album sold over one million copies in only five months! Since then, Tata Young has released eight studio albums. Three of these albums are in English, and five are in Thai. Her most recent album, Ready for Love, came out in 2009.
Tata Young has also acted in three movies: The Red Bike Story, O-Negative, and Plai Tien. She also starred in a TV drama called Wick of the Candle. She performed the song "Reach for the Stars" at the opening of the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok. Her first international song, "Dhoom Dhoom", was the English version of the title song for the 2004 Bollywood movie Dhoom. This song became Number One on music charts in many Asian countries, including India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
Throughout the 2000s, Tata Young was very popular across Southeast Asia, East Asia, and South Asia. She won many national and international awards. People often called her "Asia's Queen of Pop" and even the "Britney Spears of Asia" because of her huge success.

Her Early Life and Rise to Fame
Tata Young was born Amita Marie Germania Young in Bangkok, Thailand. Her mother is Thai, and her father, Tim Young, is American. She went to Bangkok Patana School. When she was 11, she won her first big talent show, the Nissan Awards Thailand Junior Singing Contest. This win helped her start her amazing music career.
In 1997, Tata made her first movie appearance in a youth drama called 'The Red Bike Story'. She has also used her voice to help others. .....
In September 2011, Tata introduced a new song called "Let's Play." This song was written and produced by Jeliah, and Tata helped write it with singer-songwriter VASSY. She performed it live at the True Academy Fantasia Season 8's Grand Finale Concert. Many people saw this as her big comeback to music.
