Taylor Walter-Lee Trammell (born September 13, 1997) is an American professional baseball player. He plays as an outfielder for the Houston Astros in Major League Baseball (MLB). Before joining the Astros, he played for the Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Yankees. He first played in the MLB in 2021.

Early Life and Sports
Taylor Trammell was born in Powder Springs, Georgia. He is the youngest son of Walter and Cynthia Trammell. His dad worked for the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Postal Service. His mom worked at Sam's Club for over 20 years. Taylor's older brother, Kyle, played college football for Mercer.
Taylor went to Mount Paran Christian School in Kennesaw, Georgia. He was a talented athlete, playing both baseball and football. In his junior year, he scored 13 touchdowns in football. His team even won a state championship! In baseball, he was also amazing. He hit .500 (meaning he got a hit half the time he batted). He also drove in over 30 runs and stole more than 30 bases.
In August 2015, Taylor played in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game. This game features the best young baseball players. During his senior year, a newspaper called him "arguably Georgia's best two-sport stud." As a senior baseball player, he hit .463 and stole 29 bases. He also hit nine home runs. In football, he ran for 2,500 yards and scored 38 touchdowns. He was named the best offensive player in his high school football division. After high school, he planned to play college baseball for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Cincinnati Reds
Taylor was seen as a top player for the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. The Cincinnati Reds picked him as the 35th player overall. He signed with the Reds and started playing for their minor league team, the Billings Mustangs. In 61 games, he hit .303, had two home runs, and stole 24 bases.
In 2017, he played for the Dayton Dragons. He hit .281 with 13 home runs and 41 stolen bases. The next year, in 2018, he played for the Daytona Tortugas. He hit .277 with eight home runs and 25 stolen bases. He was even chosen to play in the All-Star Futures Game. This game features top minor league players. Taylor was named the MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the game. He hit a home run that helped his team win!
San Diego Padres
On July 30, 2019, the Reds traded Taylor to the San Diego Padres. This was part of a big trade involving three teams. The Padres sent Taylor to their Double-A team, the Amarillo Sod Poodles. He played 32 games there, hitting four home runs.
Seattle Mariners
On August 30, 2020, the Padres traded Taylor to the Seattle Mariners. He was traded along with three other players. In November, Taylor was added to the Mariners' main roster. This meant he was closer to playing in the MLB.
Taylor made his MLB debut for the Mariners on April 1, 2021. He played center field against the San Francisco Giants. In his first game, he walked twice. He even got his first major league RBI (Run Batted In) by walking with the bases loaded! Taylor got his first MLB hit on April 3. It was a double that scored a run. On April 10, he hit his first MLB home run. In his first year, he played 51 games, hitting eight home runs.
In 2022, he played 43 games for the Mariners. Before the 2023 season, Taylor had surgery on his right hand. He had broken a bone during a workout. He returned to play on April 30. In his first game back, he hit a grand slam! A grand slam is a home run hit with all three bases loaded. He played 22 games for Seattle that year. On March 28, 2024, the Mariners decided to make a change to their team roster.
Los Angeles Dodgers
On April 2, 2024, the Los Angeles Dodgers picked up Taylor. He played in five games for the Dodgers. He had six chances to bat. On April 16, the Dodgers also decided to make a change to their roster.
New York Yankees
On April 18, 2024, the New York Yankees picked up Taylor. He played in five games for the Yankees. He was mostly used to play defense. He got one hit in his only time at bat for them. On May 4, the Yankees also made a change to their roster. He was then sent to play for their Triple-A minor league team, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Because he played for both the Yankees and Dodgers in 2024, he was guaranteed a World Series ring from the 2024 World Series. After the season, the Yankees added Taylor back to their main roster.
Houston Astros
On November 4, 2024, the Yankees traded Taylor to the Houston Astros.
