Teeny Tucker (born Regina B. Higginbotham on January 22, 1958) is an American singer and songwriter. She is famous for her blues music, especially electric blues and new blues. Her dad was the well-known blues musician Tommy Tucker.
Many people think Teeny Tucker is one of the best female blues singers around. She has released six albums so far. She has also performed with many famous artists like B.B. King, Koko Taylor, Etta James, and Buddy Guy.

Teeny Tucker's Life and Career
Teeny Tucker was born in Dayton, Ohio, in the United States. When she was young, she sang in her local church choir. Her father, Tommy Tucker, was a blues singer known for his 1964 hit song, "Hi-Heel Sneakers." Sadly, he passed away when Teeny was 24 years old.
Starting Her Music Journey
Teeny Tucker began her professional music career in November 1996. Her first album, called Tommy's Girl, came out in 2000. In 2003, she released her album First Class Woman. She wrote eight of the 11 songs on this album herself. Songs from First Class Woman were played on radio stations across the United States.
Teeny has been a top finalist twice in the International Blues Challenge. This is a big competition for blues musicians. In 2008, she performed at the Monterey Bay Blues Festival.
Later Albums and Awards
Her album Two Big M's (released in 2008) reached number six on the Living Blues chart. It was also nominated for an award for being a great self-produced CD. In 2010, she released another album called Keep the Blues Alive, which also featured many of her own songs.
Teeny Tucker performed at the Briggs Farm Blues Festival in 2009 and 2011. In February 2011, she received the Federal Carter G. Woodson Award. This award honors people who make important contributions. Later that year, in September 2011, Teeny sang at the Blast Furnace Blues Festival.
In 2014, Teeny Tucker was nominated for the Koko Taylor Award at the Blues Music Awards. This award celebrates traditional blues female artists. She also performed live at the event. In August 2015, Teeny performed at the Riverside Bluesfest in St. Marys, Ohio.
