Teima Onorio (born 1963) is a well-known politician from Kiribati. She has been a member of their parliament, called the House of Assembly, since 1998. She also served as the vice president of Kiribati for many years, from 2003 to 2016.

About Teima Onorio
Early Life and Education
Teima Onorio's father, Rota Onorio, was also a leader in Kiribati. He was the acting President for a short time.
Teima studied at two universities. She went to Victoria University of Wellington to earn her first degree. Later, she studied at the University of East Anglia, where she completed her master's degree in 1990.
Her Political Career
Teima Onorio has held many important roles in the government of Kiribati.
Member of Parliament
She first became a Member of Parliament (MP) in 1998. She represented the Arorae area until 2002. As an MP, she helped make laws and decisions for her country.
Minister Roles
Teima Onorio has served as a minister in different government departments:
- From 2003 to 2007, she was the Minister for Education, Youth and Sports Development. This means she was in charge of schools, youth programs, and sports.
- From 2007 to 2008, she became the Minister for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives. In this role, she worked on business, factories, and group-owned companies.
- She returned to lead the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports Development from 2008 to 2012.
