History of Tennessee Village
The village of Tennessee has a post office that opened way back in 1856. The village got its name from the state of Tennessee.
Where is Tennessee Village?
Tennessee is in the western part of McDonough County. You can find it at coordinates 40.412204 degrees North and 90.837508 degrees West.
U.S. Route 136 goes through the village. It is called Campbell Street there. This road leads northeast about 2.5 miles (4 km) to Colchester. It also goes about 9 miles (14 km) to Macomb, which is the main town of McDonough County. If you go west on US 136, Carthage is about 16 miles (26 km) away.
