College Basketball Years
Terence Stansbury went to Newark High School. After high school, he played college basketball at Temple University. He was a star player for the Temple Owls from 1980 to 1984. During his time there, he scored a total of 1,811 points. This showed how talented he was even before becoming a professional.
Playing in the NBA
Stansbury played three seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was a member of the Indiana Pacers and the Seattle SuperSonics. He scored 1,200 points during his NBA career.
Slam Dunk Contest Star
Terence Stansbury was very famous for his incredible dunks. He took part in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest three times in a row. From 1985 to 1987, he earned third place each year. His exciting dunks made him a fan favorite.
