Tews Falls is an amazing 41-metre (135-foot) tall waterfall located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It's almost as tall as Niagara Falls! Tews Falls is the tallest waterfall you'll find in Hamilton.
This beautiful "ribbon" waterfall gets its name because it's very tall but not very wide. It's located in the Spencer Gorge / Webster's Falls Conservation Area in a place called Greensville. The water for the falls comes from Logie's Creek.
You might also hear Tews Falls called Hopkin's Falls or Tunis's Falls. The best time to visit is in the spring. This is when the snow melts and there's lots of rain, making the waterfall flow strongly. In the summer, it can sometimes dry up quite a bit.

If you're coming from Hamilton, take Main Street West. Drive past McMaster University and continue straight into Dundas. Keep going straight past the library and up the hill. You'll go through a "Y" shaped intersection, then turn right onto Harvest Road. Look for signs that point you towards the falls. The parking lot will be on your right side.
Directions from Toronto
From Toronto, head west on Dundas Street (also known as Highway #5). You'll turn south onto Brock Street (which leads to Greensville), then make a left turn onto Harvest Road.
Parking and Shuttle Service

From there, a shuttle bus will take you directly to Tews Falls. This helps manage the number of cars in the area. Make sure to check the official conservation area website for the most current parking information before you go!
Accessing the Falls
