Thawville is a small village located in Iroquois County, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Ridgeland Township. In 2020, about 215 people lived there. Thawville is located about 100 miles (160 km) south of the big city of Chicago.

The village got its name from a man named William Thaw Sr.. He was a very important railroad owner from Pittsburgh. Even though the town is named after him, he only visited it one time!
