What's the Story About?
This book follows the adventures of three siblings: Kate, Michael, and Emma. They are still searching for their parents. Their parents went missing a long time ago.
A Chase Through Time
Their enemies soon find them. A wild chase begins. Kate is sent 100 years into the past. She finds a world where many magical creatures live. These include Dwarves, Elves, Giants, Dragons, and Trolls.
These creatures are getting ready to create a hidden world. They want to escape the Industrial Revolution. This was a time when machines changed how people lived.
Kate's Journey in the Past
While in the past, Kate tries to find a way back to her brother and sister. She meets a young boy named Rafe. He is kind and innocent. But Kate later learns that Rafe will become the evil Dire Magnus.
Michael and Emma's Quest
Meanwhile, Michael and Emma go on their own mission. They need to find the second "Book of Beginning." This special book is called The Fire Chronicle. It has amazing powers.
The book can bring people back to life. It can also help someone find their purpose again. Michael and Emma get the book. They win it from the Dire Magnus's helpers. An Elvish colony helps them in their fight.
A Difficult Choice
Kate spends more time with Rafe in the past. She cares for him deeply. She even risks her own life to save him. She knows he will become the Dire Magnus.
The Dire Magnus then offers Rafe a choice. He can save Kate's life. But in return, Rafe must take his place as the new Dire Magnus. Rafe agrees to this. He sacrifices himself to save Kate. This sends her back to the present time.
Reunion and New Danger
With the help of The Fire Chronicle, Michael is able to bring Kate back to life. But their joy is short-lived. They discover that Emma has been kidnapped. She was taken by Rourke. Rourke is one of the Dire Magnus's most trusted helpers.
