R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: The Series was a scary TV show from Canada and the United States. It was based on the books The Haunting Hour and Nightmare Hour by the famous author R.L. Stine. The show first aired on The Hub Network in 2010. It ran for four seasons. The last few episodes were shown on Discovery Family in 2014.
The show was made by several companies, including Front Street Pictures and The Hatchery. In 2012, R. L. Stine's The Haunting Hour won a CINE Golden Eagle Award. This award is given for high-quality TV shows and great storytelling. However, the show was cancelled after its fourth season. R.L. Stine himself confirmed this on Twitter in December 2014.
What is the Show About?
Just like the popular show Goosebumps, each episode of The Haunting Hour tells a different scary story. These stories often involve ghosts, aliens, witches, zombies, and monsters.
However, The Haunting Hour was often darker than Goosebumps. Sometimes, the main characters in The Haunting Hour would face serious dangers, and some stories even had sad or scary endings. But not all episodes were dark! Some had happy endings, similar to the show Are You Afraid of the Dark?.
