The Junction (Ogden, Utah) facts for kids
The Junction is a large, 20-acre (8.1 ha) complex in downtown Ogden City. It's a place where you can find entertainment, shops, offices, and homes all in one spot! The city helped build it to make the downtown area more exciting and help businesses grow.
The main attractions at The Junction are the Megaplex 13 movie theater and the Salomon Center right next door. Inside the Salomon Center, you can find lots of fun activities like:

- FlowRider pool for surfing indoors
- iRock climbing wall
- iFly indoor skydiving
These fun places opened in June 2007. Also nearby is the Elizabeth Stewart Treehouse Museum, a special museum for kids aged two to twelve. It has almost 30,000 square feet (2,800 m2) of hands-on exhibits for families to explore.
Besides all the fun, The Junction also has office buildings, many restaurants, a big parking garage, and apartments with shops on the ground floor.

History of The Junction
Before The Junction was built, an old shopping center called Ogden City Mall stood on this spot from 1980 to 2002. Some of the stores that used to be there included The Bon Marché, J. C. Penney, Meier & Frank, and Nordstrom.
