T-Mobile has a large presence in many countries. You can find T-Mobile services in eleven European countries. These include Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom. T-Mobile also operates in the United States.

Deutsche Telekom, the parent company of T-Mobile, once tried to buy another mobile company called O2. However, O2 was eventually bought by Telefonica, a company from Spain.

T-Mobile is a big supporter of sports. It sponsors several sports teams and events. For example, T-Mobile sponsors the football (soccer) kits for FC Bayern Munich, a famous team in Germany. They also sponsor Ferencvárosi TC, The Blues City, and Borehamwood.

T-Mobile even has its own cycling team, called the T-Mobile Team. They also sponsor the top football league in Austria, which is known as the T-Mobile Bundesliga. T-Mobile was also the official mobile phone provider for the 2006 FIFA World Cup football tournament held in Germany.
