The Three Musketeers is an American cartoon show. It was made by Hanna-Barbera Productions for NBC. The show first aired in 1968. It had 18 episodes. Each episode was part of The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. This cartoon is based on the famous 1844 book The Three Musketeers. The book was written by Alexandre Dumas.
Meet the Heroes
The cartoon follows the exciting adventures of four brave heroes. They are Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and D'Artagnan. These characters are known as the Musketeers. They work to protect the King and Queen of France.
Their main job is to fight enemies. These enemies often try to harm King Louis XIV and Queen Anne. The Musketeers are sometimes helped by Lady Constance Bonacieux. She is a handmaid to the Queen.
Tooly's Adventures
Lady Constance has a young nephew named Tooly. Tooly often joins the Musketeers on their missions. He really wants to become a Musketeer himself. However, the Musketeers tell him he is too young.
Tooly tries hard to prove he is worthy. He has a white horse named Lightning. In one episode, the Musketeers give him a mule for his birthday. Many episodes end with their famous saying: "All for one, and one for all!"
