Thimble Peak is a famous mountain in the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson, Arizona. It stands tall from the lower hills on the south side of the mountain range. To its east, you'll find Bear Canyon, and to its west is Sabino Canyon. This peak is part of the Pusch Ridge Wilderness area, which is inside the Coronado National Forest.

Climbing Thimble Peak

Thimble Peak is a bit tricky to climb. There are no regular trails that go all the way to the very top. If you want to reach the highest part, often called the "cap," you need special skills. This involves technical climbing, which means using ropes and other gear to climb steep rock faces. It's not like hiking on a path; it's more like serious rock climbing.
