Thom Evans was born on April 2, 1985. He is a former rugby union player from Scotland and also a model. He used to play as a wing for the Glasgow Warriors team in the Celtic League. Thom's rugby career ended when he was 24 years old. This happened after he got a very serious neck injury during his tenth game for Scotland.

Thom Evans's Rugby Journey
Thom Evans was born in 1985 in Harare, Zimbabwe. He went to school in England at Windlesham House School and Wellington College, Berkshire.
He first played for the Scottish rugby union team in June 2008 against Argentina. He was also chosen for the 30-player squad before the 2008 Six Nations tournament.
Before playing for Scotland, Thom represented England in rugby at different age levels. He played for the Under 16, Under 18, and Under 21 teams. Later, he decided to play for Scotland at the "A" level and in Sevens rugby.
A Serious Injury and Retirement
On February 13, 2010, during a Six Nations game against Wales, Thom Evans had a very bad neck injury. He collided with a Welsh player and had to be carried off the field. He was taken to the hospital right away for treatment.
He had two operations on his neck to help stabilize his spine. Doctors said his neck bones were badly out of place. After four months of recovery, Thom had to stop playing rugby. He officially retired on July 1, 2010, following medical advice.
Life After Rugby
After retiring from rugby, Thom Evans wanted to try a new sport. He decided to become a sprinter. In 2012, he started competing in indoor running events. He finished fourth in the Scottish Senior Championships. He ran the 60-meter race in his personal best time of 7.20 seconds.
During the outdoor season, he set new personal bests. He ran the 100-meter race in 11.26 seconds and the 200-meter race in 23.14 seconds. However, by the end of that year, Thom decided not to continue with athletics. Instead, he chose to start a career in acting.

Thom Evans has also worked in television and entertainment. He was an analyst for ITV's coverage of the 2011 Rugby World Cup. This means he helped explain the games and players.
In September 2014, Thom was a contestant on the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing. He danced with professional dancer Iveta Lukosiute. They were voted off the show in the fifth week.
In 2016, Thom took part in a TV show called Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls. In this show, celebrity contestants tried to survive for 10 days on a remote island. Thom left the island early because he found it challenging to deal with the very limited food.
In October 2019, Thom was a contestant on The X Factor: Celebrity. He was part of a music group called Try Star. The group also included other rugby players, Levi Davis and Ben Foden. They made it to the semi-final of the competition.

Thom Evans has a brother named Max. Max also played rugby for Scotland and the Glasgow Warriors. Thom and Max are one of only twenty sets of brothers to have played together for Scotland's rugby team.
In 2011, Thom appeared on cereal boxes for Scott's Porage Oats. He was featured alongside other rugby players, Chris Paterson and Ross Ford.
Thom Evans is also a cousin of the famous disc jockey and TV presenter, Chris Evans.
