Thomas William Alvord (born January 19, 1985 in La Crescenta-Montrose, California) is an attorney, businessman and entrepreneur from United States. He is the chairman at Funded Today, a company he co-founded in 2014 with Zach Smith. Funded Today is a crowdfunding marketing agency headquartered in Utah. Alvord has raised over $156 million between 2014 and 2017, using the crowdfunding platforms. His younger sister, Tiffany Alvord is a prominent singer and songwriter.

Biography

Alvord was born in 1985, to Kurt Alvord and Cherie Alvord, in La Crescenta-Montrose, California. Alvord graduated high school in 2003 from Quartz Hill High School in California. He attended BYU College of Family, Home and Social Sciences where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family studies, in 2008. Later, Alvord went to Marriott School of Management of Brigham Young University where he received his Master's degree in Public administration in 2011. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2011. Alvord is fluent in Portuguese. Alvord began his career at Brigham Young University in 2003 and served a two year LDS (Mormon) mission in the Brazil Fortaleza Mission. Later in 2006, he joined MC2 Marketing where he worked as the manager. Alvord has been involved in political campaigns for Presidential, U.S. Senate and Governor elections. He has run marketing for many online digital campaigns, including United States Presidential Campaign and multi-million dollar political committees. In 2014, Alvord co-founded Funded Today with Zach Smith. Funded Today is a privately-owned American crowdfunding marketing agency headquartered in Utah. The company helps entrepreneurs worldwide to market their crowdfunding campaigns on either Kickstarter or Indiegogo. In 2015, Funded Today generated revenue of over 9.4 million dollars. Currently, Alvord serves as the Chairman at Funded Today. Alvord has raised over $156 million between 2014 and 2017, using the crowdfunding platforms of Kickstarter and IndieGoGo. Alvord is also an attorney with the Utah State Bar on inactive status.
