Thorndike is a small town located in Waldo County, Maine, United States. It was named after Israel Thorndike, who owned land in the area. In 2020, about 774 people lived there.

Thorndike covers an area of about 25.26 square miles (65.42 square kilometers). All of this area is land. A stream called Halfmoon Stream flows through the town.
The town is also crossed by two main roads: Maine State Route 220 and Maine State Route 139. These roads help people travel in and out of Thorndike.
