History of Tigerton
The Lake Shore Railroad used to run through the Tigerton area. This was from 1879 to 1981.
The village of Tigerton was started in 1896. It got its name from Tiger Creek. People say the creek's water flows very fast. This fast flow makes a sound like a roaring tiger.
