Timothy Maddren (born on March 3, 1984) is a talented musician from New Zealand. He is best known for being a member of the Australian children's music group Hi-5. Tim was part of Hi-5 from 2009 to 2013. During his four years with the group, he appeared in three seasons and 135 episodes.

Growing Up and Music
Tim Maddren was born in Blenheim, New Zealand. He grew up in a family that loved music. From a young age, his family encouraged him to develop his skills in performing and entertaining. Tim can play many instruments. He plays the guitar, piano, trumpet, and drums. Fun fact: Tim is left-handed!
In 2003, Tim moved to Perth, Australia. He went to study at the WAAPA. This is a famous school for performers. He graduated from WAAPA in 2005.
Starting His Performing Career
Before joining Hi-5, Tim performed in many stage shows. Some of these include Fiddler on the Roof (2007) and Les Miserables. He also appeared in Little Shop of Horrors and My Fair Lady. In 2008, he was part of the first Australian cast of the musical comedy Altar Boyz. In this show, he played the character of Luke.
Tim also appeared on television. He had a guest role as Connor in the TV show Blue Water High. This show was on ABC TV.
Besides performing, Tim also taught. He taught singing and acting at the Ministry of Dance in North Melbourne.
Tim and Hi-5
Tim Maddren became a member of the Hi-5 cast on January 5, 2009. Hi-5 is a very popular children's musical group. Tim has said that the best part of being in Hi-5 was "seeing all the happy faces on the kids when we're up there performing in front of them." He loved making children happy with his music and performances.
More Acting Adventures
While he was part of Hi-5, Tim also continued acting. He performed in the musical The Addams Family. In this show, he played the role of Lucas Beineke.
Tim has also performed in The Rocky Horror Show. He played the role of Brad Majors in the Australian tour of this famous musical.
