Tim Ward, born on August 11, 1997, is an American football player. He plays as a linebacker for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Before turning professional, he played college football at Old Dominion University.

College Football Journey
Tim played college football for the Old Dominion Monarchs for four years. He was a key player in 47 games. During his time there, he made 125 tackles. He also had 14 sacks and broke up eight passes.
Professional Football Career
Tim Ward started his professional career in 2019. He has played for several teams in different leagues.
Playing for the Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs signed Tim in 2019 after he wasn't chosen in the NFL Draft. He spent his first year recovering from an injury. In 2020, he was briefly cut but then joined the Chiefs' practice squad. Later that year, he was added to the main team. Tim played his first NFL game in Week 17 of the 2020 season. He started the game and made five tackles, including his first career sack.
Time with the New York Jets
In September 2021, the New York Jets picked up Tim. He played for them for about a year. The Jets released him in August 2022.
Green Bay Packers Practice Squad
Tim joined the Green Bay Packers practice squad in November 2022.
Playing in the XFL and UFL
Tim also played in other football leagues. In 2023, he was with the Houston Roughnecks in the XFL. Later, the XFL and another league, the USFL, joined together to form the United Football League (UFL).
In 2024, Tim was chosen by the DC Defenders in the UFL draft. He signed with them but was later waived. He then joined the San Antonio Brahmas on the same day.
Joining the Hamilton Tiger-Cats
On August 27, 2024, Tim Ward signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). This is his current team.
