Tiny Talent Time is a super fun Canadian TV show for kids! It has been on air in different ways since 1957. The show is a variety show, which means it has lots of different acts. Kids aged 12 and under get to show off their amazing talents. They perform all sorts of things like singing, dancing, playing music, and more! It started on CHCH-TV in Hamilton, Ontario, and was also shown in other places.

The Original Show: A Long Run

The very first Tiny Talent Time was hosted by Bill Lawrence. He was the host for a really long time, from 1957 all the way to 1992! This show was created as a kids' version of another popular show called Ken Soble's Amateur Hour.

Famous Kids Who Appeared

Lots of talented kids appeared on the original show. Some even became famous later!

  • Sheila Copps recited a poem. She later became a well-known politician.
  • Deborah Cox sang beautifully. She grew up to be a famous singer.
  • Frank Augustyn showed off his gymnastics skills. He became a professional ballet dancer.

Kids came from all over to be on the show. They came from places like Southern Ontario and even Buffalo, New York. The show was so popular that it became one of the longest-running TV shows in Canadian history!

Today's Talent Time: A Short Return

The show came back for a little while in 2000. It was called Today's Talent Time then. Sandy Savelli and Mike Gravina were the new hosts. It's cool because Sandy Savelli and the show's producer, Beth McBlain, had both been performers on the original Tiny Talent Time when they were kids! This new version also had a special part called "Time Capsule." It showed what people who were on the first show were doing now. This version only lasted for one season.

Tiny Talent Time Returns Again!

In 2014, the show came back again with its original name, Tiny Talent Time! The new hosts are Jaclyn Colville and Jason Agnew. This revived show was even nominated for a Canadian Screen Award in 2016. That's a big award for Canadian TV shows! It was nominated in the category for Children's or Youth Non-Fiction Program. The show is still on air today, continuing its long history of showcasing young talent!
