Aloysius Martin "Tod" Sloan (born November 30, 1927 – died July 12, 2017) was a talented Canadian ice hockey player. He played professionally in the National Hockey League (NHL) for two famous teams: the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Chicago Black Hawks.

Tod Sloan was known for his skill as a centre and right wing. He helped his teams win the biggest prize in hockey, the Stanley Cup, multiple times.
Early Career and Teams
Before joining the NHL, Tod played for other teams. He was part of the Pittsburgh Hornets and the Cleveland Barons. These teams played in the American Hockey League (AHL). This league is often where players develop their skills before moving to the NHL.
Stanley Cup Wins
Tod Sloan was a true champion. He won the Stanley Cup three times during his career. He helped the Toronto Maple Leafs win in 1949 and again in 1951. Later, he joined the Chicago Black Hawks and won his third Stanley Cup with them in 1961. Winning the Stanley Cup is a huge achievement in ice hockey.
Later Life
Tod Sloan retired from playing hockey in 1962. He passed away on July 12, 2017, at the age of 89. He died in Sutton, Ontario, due to health issues related to Alzheimer's disease.
