Todd White was born on May 21, 1975. He is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player. He played as a centre, which means he played in the middle of the ice. Todd played over 650 games in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for many teams, including the Chicago Blackhawks, Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators, Minnesota Wild, Atlanta Thrashers, and New York Rangers.

Todd White's Hockey Journey
Before Todd White joined the NHL, he played college hockey. He spent four years playing for Clarkson University. During his time in college, he was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award. This is a very important award for college hockey players.
Starting with the Blackhawks
Todd White was not chosen by a team in the NHL draft. However, he signed a contract with the Chicago Blackhawks on August 6, 1997. He played 43 games with the Blackhawks. Later, he was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers. Todd spent most of his time with the Flyers' minor league team, the Philadelphia Phantoms.
Playing for the Senators
Todd only played three games with the Flyers. On July 12, 2000, he signed a new deal with the Ottawa Senators. He joined them as a free agent.
He had good success with the Senators. He helped them reach the second round of the playoffs. But they lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs. The next year, they made the playoffs again. However, the Maple Leafs beat them in the first round.
Moving to the Wild and Beyond
After the season ended, Todd White was traded to the Minnesota Wild. He played two seasons with the Wild. Then, he signed a four-year contract with the Atlanta Thrashers.
On August 2, 2010, he was traded again. This time, he went to the New York Rangers. He was traded for two other players, Donald Brashear and Patrick Rissmiller. Todd White stopped playing professional ice hockey in 2011.
