Thomas Anthony Hollander (born 25 August 1967) is a British actor. He is known for playing many different characters in movies and TV shows. Tom Hollander started acting when he was young. He has won awards for his work.
You might know him from his roles as Mr. Collins in the movie Pride & Prejudice. He also played Lord Cutler Beckett in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. On TV, he starred in the comedy show Rev. and the drama The Night Manager.

Early Life and School
Thomas Anthony Hollander was born in Bristol, England, on August 25, 1967. He grew up in Oxford. His parents were teachers. His grandfather was a music expert who wrote books about composers.
Tom went to the Dragon School and then Abingdon School. He was a lead singer in the choir. When he was 14, he joined the National Youth Theatre. This is a group for young actors. At that age, he also got his first main role in a TV show called John Diamond.
Later, Tom studied English at Selwyn College, Cambridge. While there, he was very active in student plays. He was even president of a drama group called the Marlowe Society.
Becoming an Actor
Tom Hollander started his acting career in TV when he was just 14. This was in the TV film John Diamond in 1981. He quickly became known for his theatre work. In 1992, he won an award for his acting in a play called The Way of the World. He was also praised for other roles in plays like As You Like It and The Government Inspector.
In 1996, Tom made his first appearance on Broadway in New York City. He acted in the play The Judas Kiss alongside Liam Neeson.
