Tooniverse (Hangul: 투니버스; RR: Tooniverse) is a very popular TV channel in South Korea. Its name is a mix of "Cartoon" and "Universe". This channel shows lots of different cartoons and anime shows. It is owned by CJ ENM E&M Division.
Tooniverse started broadcasting on December 21, 1995. Since then, it has become one of the top animation channels in South Korea. It offers a wide range of animated shows for kids and teens of all ages. Some of the cartoons and anime on Tooniverse are specially edited for their audience.
Tooniverse also creates its own exciting shows. In 2012, they made their first TV series for teens. It was called Ma Boy. The channel also played a part in the world of video games. Famous StarCraft: Brood War game broadcasts, known as Starleague, first aired on Tooniverse. Later, these game shows moved to their own special gaming channel, Ongamenet.
In 2014, Tooniverse announced a new TV series. It was called The Haunted House. This show became very popular! In 2016, they created The Haunted House: The Secret of the Ghost Ball. Later, they released season 2, which was split into two parts: The Haunted House: The Birth of Ghost Ball X. In 2020, Tooniverse announced season 3 of the series. It was named The Haunted House: Ghost Ball Double X - 6 Prophecies.
