Torquhil Ian Campbell, born on May 29, 1968, is known as the 13th Duke of Argyll. He is a Scottish nobleman, meaning he holds a special title passed down through his family. Before he became Duke in 2001, he was known as the Earl of Campbell and then the Marquess of Lorne. His family's main home is the beautiful Inveraray Castle in Scotland.

About the Duke
The Duke is the only son of Ian Campbell, the 12th Duke of Argyll, and Iona Mary Colquhoun. He went to several schools, including Glenalmond College. He also studied at the Royal Agricultural College, where he learned to be a surveyor. A surveyor is someone who measures land.
From 1981 to 1983, he served as a Page of Honour to Queen Elizabeth II. This is a special role where young people help the Queen during ceremonies. He has many important titles. He is the Chief of Clan Campbell, which means he is the leader of a large Scottish family group. He is also the Master of the Royal Household of Scotland.
The Duke is also the captain of Scotland's national elephant polo team. His team won the World Championships in 2004 and 2005. He helps promote Scottish whiskies around the world.
His Family
On June 8, 2002, the Duke married Eleanor Cadbury. She is a member of the famous Cadbury chocolate family. They were married in Fairford, Gloucestershire.
The Duke and Duchess have three children:
- Archibald Friedrich Campbell, Marquess of Lorne (born March 9, 2004). He is known as Archie Lorne. He also served as a Page of Honour to Queen Elizabeth II from 2015 to 2018.
