History of Townville

Townville was started in 1824. It was founded by a person named Noah Town. The town was named after him.

Geography and Location

Townville is in the eastern part of Crawford County. It is surrounded by Steuben Township. This means Steuben Township is a separate area that borders Townville.

How to Get to Townville

Pennsylvania Route 408 is a main road that goes through Townville. If you go east on this road, you will reach Hydetown in about 8 miles. Going northwest for about 14 miles will take you to Cambridge Springs.

The county seat city, Meadville, is about 15 miles west of Townville. You can get there by taking PA 408, then Lyona Road, and finally PA 77.
