The company has about 25% of the tractor market in India. TAFE also owns a part of AGCO Corporation in the USA. AGCO is another big company that makes tractors and farm equipment.

TAFE has a huge network of over 1,600 dealers. These dealers sell tractors under different brand names. Some of these brands are Massey Ferguson India, TAFE Tractors, and Eicher Tractors. TAFE sends its tractors to more than 80 countries around the world.

Besides tractors, TAFE and its other companies do many things. They make other farm machines, diesel engines, and power generators. TAFE has factories in different places. For example, it has a plant in Turkey. This plant makes special tractors for the Turkish market. In 2005, TAFE bought the tractor, gear, and engine businesses of another company called Eicher. This was done through its own company, TAFE Motors and Tractors Limited (TMTL).

TAFE has many factories. It has six tractor plants and one engine plant. There are also two plants for gears and transmission parts. Two more units make engineering plastics. Two facilities produce hydraulic pumps and cylinders. There is also a battery plant and other places where they work. In December 2022, TAFE also bought the Indian Interior Business of Group FORVIA. This is a French company that supplies parts for cars. TAFE employs over 3,500 engineers. It also has many other experts working for it.

TAFE is part of Amalgamations Group. This group is based in Chennai. It is one of India's largest groups that makes light engineering products. The group has 40 companies. They design and make diesel engines and car parts. They also make other light engineering goods. The group is also involved in plantations and services.

Working with Other Companies

TAFE Motors and Tractors works with a company called Deutz AG. They work together to make engines. These engines are for both India and other countries. They plan to make 30,000 engines together. These engines will be made at TAFE Motors' factory in Alwar, Rajasthan.
