Tracy Lee Griffith (born October 19, 1965) is an American actress, a talented sushi chef, and a painter. She is known for her roles in movies and TV shows, and for being one of the first female sushi chefs in the world.

Early Life and Education
Tracy Griffith grew up in Bedford, New York. Her father, Peter Griffith, was an actor and producer. Her mother, Nanita Greene, was a model and actress. She has a younger brother, Clay Griffith, who works as a production designer. Her half-sister is the famous actress Melanie Griffith.
In the early 1970s, Tracy's family moved to Saint John, U.S. Virgin Islands. She later attended a boarding school in Maryland, finishing in 1979. After that, she spent three years at the University of Tennessee. It was there that she became very interested in acting. She decided to leave college in 1984 to follow her dream of becoming an actress.
Exploring Acting Roles
Tracy Griffith worked in Hollywood and New York for about 12 years. She appeared in several films alongside her half-sister Melanie. These included Fear City in 1985 and Crazy in Alabama in 1999.
She also had roles in popular TV shows like The Guiding Light and 21 Jump Street. Tracy was a regular cast member on the ABC drama series The Monroes in 1995. Some of her other movie credits include The Good Mother (1988), Fast Food (1989), and The First Power (1990).
Becoming a Sushi Chef
Tracy Griffith made history as a sushi chef. She was the first female to graduate from the California Sushi Academy. This made her one of the world's first certified female sushi chefs!
She worked as the main sushi chef at Tsunami's in Beverly Hills. She also helped run Rika's on Sunset, a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles. Tracy created a special style of sushi that didn't use raw fish. This idea led her to write a cookbook called Sushi American Style, which came out in 2004. She later released another book in 2013, Stealth Health: Lunches Kids Love. This book teaches kids how to make healthy lunches themselves.
Tracy also hosted cooking shows. She was the chef and host on the Cooking with D.I.Y. series and Celebrity Hobbies on the D.I.Y. Network.
Life Outside of Acting
Tracy Griffith married fashion executive Mark Daley on September 17, 2011.
Besides acting and cooking, Tracy is also a talented artist. In 2006, she released a music CD called Red. She is also a landscape painter, known for her beautiful paintings of the Napa Valley area. Her first art show was in San Francisco in 2011. In 2018, she had a special art show in London called Herd. In 2019, she moved to Florence, Alabama, where she opened her very own art gallery.
