Travis Pearson (born July 25, 1971) is an American college football coach and a former professional player. He is currently the defensive coordinator for Georgia State University. Before becoming a coach, he played football for seven seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL). He played for teams like the Tampa Bay Storm and the Florida Bobcats. He also played college football at Alabama State University. In 2001, he was recognized for his playing skills and was named to the Arena Football League 15th Anniversary Team.

Later, he served as the defensive coordinator at Oxford High School in Oxford, Alabama. This role lasted from 2005 to 2006. He also coached at Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, Alabama. There, he was the head coach and athletic director from 2009 to 2010. From 2011 to 2012, he was the defensive coordinator at Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia.
College Coaching Roles
Travis Pearson has held many important coaching positions in college football. From 2007 to 2008, he worked for the Iowa State Cyclones. He was their director of football operations. This role involves managing the team's daily activities.
He then moved to the University of South Alabama. In 2013, he was the linebackers coach for the South Alabama Jaguars. He was promoted to defensive coordinator for the Jaguars from 2014 to 2015.
In 2016, Pearson joined the Alabama A&M Bulldogs. He served as their defensive coordinator and secondary coach until 2017. He then returned to his alma mater, Alabama State University.
