Travis Pearson (born July 25, 1971) is an American football coach and a former professional player. He currently coaches the cornerbacks for Troy University. He has been in this role since 2022. Before coaching, he played football for seven seasons. He played in the Arena Football League (AFL) for teams like the Tampa Bay Storm and Florida Bobcats. He also played college football at Alabama State University. In 2001, he was honored by being named to the Arena Football League 15th Anniversary Team.

Playing Professional Football
Travis Pearson played in the Arena Football League (AFL). This was a type of indoor football. He played for several teams from 1994 to 2001. His teams included the Tampa Bay Storm, Miami Hooters, Florida Bobcats, and Los Angeles Avengers.
Coaching Football Teams
Travis Pearson has coached football at many levels. He started as a head coach at Central High School in Hayneville, Alabama. This was from 1998 to 1999.
High School Coaching
He then became an assistant coach at Elmore County High School in Eclectic, Alabama. He worked there from 2000 to 2001. After that, he became the head coach for Elmore County from 2002 to 2004. From 2005 to 2006, he was the defensive coordinator at Oxford High School in Oxford, Alabama.
Pearson also served as head coach and athletic director. This was at Jefferson Davis High School. He worked there from 2009 to 2010. Later, he was the defensive coordinator at Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia. This role lasted from 2011 to 2012.
College Coaching
In 2007, Pearson moved to college football. He was the director of football operations for the Iowa State Cyclones. This team is part of Iowa State University. He held this position until 2008.
In 2013, he became the linebackers coach for the South Alabama Jaguars. This team is from the University of South Alabama. He then became the Jaguars' defensive coordinator from 2014 to 2015.
From 2016 to 2017, he coached the Alabama A&M Bulldogs. He was their defensive coordinator and secondary coach. In 2018, he coached safeties for the Alabama State Hornets. He became their defensive coordinator from 2019 to 2021. During 2021, he also served as the interim head coach for Alabama State.
