Travis Robinson (born on June 13, 1987) is a professional rugby league player. He has played for the Lebanon national team. Travis plays as a centre or winger. He currently plays for the Newtown Jets team. Before that, he played for the Penrith Panthers in Australia's top rugby league competition. Travis has a twin brother named Reece Robinson, who also plays rugby.

About Travis Robinson

Travis was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. His family has roots in Lebanon and also in Indigenous Australian communities. When he was younger, Travis played junior rugby league for a team called the Alexandria Rovers. Later, he was signed by the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.

His Rugby League Journey

Starting with the Sharks

In 2006, Travis Robinson joined the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. He played for their reserve-grade team from 2006 to 2008. Reserve-grade teams are like a step below the main professional team.

Moving to Other Teams

After his time with the Sharks, Travis played for the Chester Hill Rhinos in 2009. When that team stopped playing, he joined the Penrith Panthers. He continued to play for the Panthers' reserve-grade team from 2009 to 2012.

Playing in the NRL

Travis made his big debut in the NRL (Australia's top rugby league competition) in 2012. This was for the Penrith Panthers. His first game was against the Melbourne Storm. In his second game, he scored his first ever NRL try against the New Zealand Warriors.

Time with Melbourne

In 2013, Travis signed a two-year contract to play for the Melbourne Storm team. After the 2015 NRL season, he left the Melbourne team.

Playing for His Country

Travis has proudly represented Lebanon in international rugby league. In 2009, he played for Lebanon in the European Cup. He returned to play for Lebanon again in 2015. This time, it was for the World Cup Qualifiers, where teams play to earn a spot in the Rugby League World Cup.

Travis's Family

Travis has a twin brother, Reece Robinson, who is also a rugby player. Reece plays for the New South Wales Waratahs. Travis is also related to famous boxer Anthony Mundine and former rugby league player Nathan Merritt.
