Travis Robinson is an Australian rugby league player. He was born on June 13, 1987. He plays as a centre (centre) or a winger (wing). He has played for the Newtown Jets and previously for the Penrith Panthers in Australia's top rugby league competition. Travis has also played for the Lebanon national team. He is the twin brother of Reece Robinson, who is also a well-known athlete.

Early Life and Background

Travis Robinson was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He has a mixed heritage, being of Lebanese and Indigenous Australian descent. When he was young, he started playing junior rugby league for a team called the Alexandria Rovers. Later, he was signed by the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, which is a professional rugby league club.

Rugby League Career

Starting Out

In 2006, Travis Robinson joined the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. He played for their reserve-grade team, which is like a development team for younger players, from 2006 to 2008. After that, he moved to play for the Chester Hill Rhinos in 2009. When that team stopped playing, he joined the Penrith Panthers. He continued to play for the Panthers' reserve-grade team from 2009 until 2012.

Making His NRL Debut

Travis Robinson got his big break in 2012. He made his first appearance in the NRL, which is the highest level of rugby league in Australia. His debut game was for the Penrith Panthers against the Melbourne Storm. In his very next game, he scored his first NRL try against the New Zealand Warriors. This was an exciting moment in his career.

Later Club Career

After playing for the Penrith Panthers, Travis Robinson signed a two-year contract with the Melbourne Storm in 2013. He continued to play professional rugby league. After the 2015 NRL season, he left the Melbourne team. He has since played for the Newtown Jets in the Intrust Super Premiership NSW, which is a strong competition just below the NRL.

Playing for Lebanon

Travis Robinson has proudly represented Lebanon in international rugby league. His first time playing for Lebanon was in the 2009 European Cup. He returned to play for Lebanon again in October 2015. This was for the World Cup Qualifiers against South Africa, helping his team try to qualify for the Rugby League World Cup. He has continued to play for Lebanon, including for their 9s team.

Travis Robinson comes from a family with many talented athletes. His twin brother, Reece Robinson, is also a professional athlete. Reece plays rugby union for the New South Wales Waratahs.
