Reece Robinson (born on June 13, 1987) is a talented athlete from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He is best known for playing rugby league at an international level for Lebanon. Reece also played for several teams in Australia's top rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL). Later in his career, he switched to play rugby union for the New South Wales Waratahs in Super Rugby.

Early Life and Junior Career

Reece Robinson grew up in Sydney, New South Wales. He has both Indigenous Australian and Lebanese family backgrounds. As a young player, Reece played junior rugby league for the Alexandria Rovers. He also played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in their junior team, called the SG Ball team. Before joining the Brisbane Broncos, he attended Randwick Boys High School. Reece also played rugby union during his school years.

Rugby League Club Journey

Reece Robinson had an exciting career playing for several clubs in the NRL. He started with the Brisbane Broncos and later played for the Canberra Raiders, Parramatta Eels, and Sydney Roosters.

Starting with the Brisbane Broncos (2008)

Reece made his first appearance in the NRL in 2008. He played for the Brisbane Broncos in their first game of the season against the Penrith Panthers. The Broncos won that game with a score of 48–12. In his third game, Reece scored his very first NRL try. He finished his first year playing 13 games and scoring four tries. After this season, his contract with the Broncos ended.

Playing for North Sydney Bears (2009)

In 2009, Reece joined the North Sydney Bears. This team was a "feeder club" for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, meaning they helped develop players for the main NRL team. Reece played 22 games for the Bears and scored an impressive 22 tries. Later that year, he signed a contract to play for the Canberra Raiders starting in 2010.

Time with the Canberra Raiders (2010–2014)

Reece joined the Canberra Raiders in 2010. He played his first game for them against the Penrith Panthers. In one memorable game against the North Queensland Cowboys, Reece scored four tries, helping his team win 48–4. He played five games and scored five tries in his first season with the Raiders.

In 2012, Reece was the top try-scorer for the Canberra Raiders, scoring 17 tries in 24 games. The next year, in 2013, he played 22 games, scored seven tries, and kicked one goal. In 2014, Reece played 18 games, scoring 10 tries and kicking two goals. After this season, he signed a one-year deal to play for the Parramatta Eels.

Moving to the Parramatta Eels (2015)

Reece joined the Parramatta Eels in 2015. He played in the 2015 NRL Auckland Nines tournament before the season started. In his first game for the Eels, he helped them win 42–12 by kicking seven goals. He scored his first try for the Eels in his third game.

Joining the Sydney Roosters (2018)

In December 2017, Reece signed a one-year contract with the Sydney Roosters. In 2018, he scored his first try for the Roosters with only 13 seconds left in a game, helping them win 28-10. That year, the Sydney Roosters had a very successful season, winning the Minor Premiership and the Grand Final. Reece was released by the club at the end of the 2018 season.

Playing for Queanbeyan Kangaroos (2019)

In 2019, Reece played for the Queanbeyan Kangaroos. This team competes in the Canberra Raiders Cup competition.

Playing for Lebanon

In 2009, Reece played for Lebanon in the 2009 European Cup. He scored three tries in one game, helping Lebanon win 86–0 against Italy. Overall, he played three matches in that tournament, scoring five tries and kicking four goals. Reece also represented Lebanon at the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, playing in all four games and scoring two tries.

Indigenous All Stars

In 2013, Reece was chosen to play for the Indigenous All Stars team. He was a star player in their game against the NRL All Stars, scoring three tries in the second half. The Indigenous All Stars won that game 32–6.

Rugby Union Career

In 2015, Reece Robinson decided to try a different sport and switched to rugby union. He signed a two-year contract with the Super Rugby team, New South Wales Waratahs. In 2016, he played for the New South Wales Country Eagles in the 2016 National Rugby Championship. His team won the Minor Championship and were runners-up in the Grand Final.

Personal Life and Family

Reece Robinson has a twin brother named Travis Robinson, who also played rugby league and represented Lebanon. Reece is also related to famous Australian boxer Anthony Mundine. His cousin is former rugby league player Nathan Merritt, and his step-brother is former South Sydney player Beau Champion.
