Reece Robinson (born 13 June 1987) is a talented Australian athlete. He has played both rugby league and rugby union at a professional level. Reece has represented Lebanon in international rugby league. He also played for several teams in Australia's top rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL).

Early Life and Beginnings

Reece Robinson was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He has both Indigenous Australian and Lebanese family roots. As a young boy, Reece played junior rugby league for the Alexandria Rovers.

He also played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs' junior team. Reece went to Randwick Boys High School. During his school years, he also enjoyed playing rugby union.

Rugby League Club Career

Reece Robinson has played for several big clubs in the NRL. He started his professional career in Brisbane.

Playing for the Brisbane Broncos (2008)

Reece made his first appearance in the NRL in 2008. He played for the Brisbane Broncos against the Penrith Panthers. In his third game, he scored his first ever NRL try.

During his first year, Reece played in 13 matches and scored four tries. After the 2008 season, his contract with the Broncos ended.

Time with North Sydney Bears (2009)

In 2009, Reece joined the North Sydney Bears. This team was linked to the South Sydney Rabbitohs. He played well, scoring 22 tries in 22 games.

Later that year, he signed a contract with the Canberra Raiders. This was a big step in his career.

Years with the Canberra Raiders (2010–2014)

Reece started playing for the Canberra Raiders in 2010. In one amazing game against the North Queensland Cowboys, he scored four tries! This showed how fast and skilled he was.

In 2012, Reece was the Raiders' top try-scorer. He scored 17 tries in 24 matches that season. In 2013, he even played as a fullback for a while. He scored seven tries and kicked a goal that year.

Reece continued to play strongly for the Raiders in 2014. He scored 10 tries and kicked two goals. After this season, he moved to a new team.

Joining the Parramatta Eels (2015)

In 2015, Reece signed with the Parramatta Eels. He made his debut for the Eels in Round 1. In that game, he kicked seven goals, helping his team win.

He scored his first try for the Eels in Round 3. Reece played a full season with the Parramatta Eels.

Playing for the Sydney Roosters (2018)

In 2017, Reece signed a one-year deal with the Sydney Roosters. In 2018, he scored his first try for the Roosters. This try came just seconds before the game ended!

The Sydney Roosters had a fantastic year in 2018. They won the Minor Premiership and the Grand Final. Reece was part of this winning team. At the end of 2018, he left the Roosters.

Playing for Lebanon

Reece has played for the Lebanon national rugby league team. In the 2009 European Cup, he scored three tries in one game against Italy! He played in three matches for Lebanon in that tournament, scoring five tries and kicking four goals.

He was also chosen to play for Lebanon in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup, but he had to withdraw due to an injury. Reece did represent Lebanon in the 2021 Rugby League World Cup, playing in all four games and scoring two tries.

Indigenous All Stars

In 2013, Reece played for the Indigenous All Stars team. This team is made up of top Indigenous Australian rugby league players. He was a star in their game against the NRL All Stars. Reece scored three tries in the second half, helping his team win 32–6.

Switching to Rugby Union

In 2015, Reece made a big change in his career. He decided to switch from rugby league to rugby union.

He signed a two-year contract with the Super Rugby team, the New South Wales Waratahs. In 2016, he also played for the New South Wales Country Eagles. His team won the Minor Championship and were runners-up in the Grand Final.

Personal Life and Family

Reece Robinson comes from a family of talented athletes. He has a twin brother named Travis Robinson. Travis also played professional rugby league and represented the Lebanon national team.

Reece is also related to famous Australian boxer Anthony Mundine. His cousin is former rugby league player Nathan Merritt. And his step-brother is Beau Champion, who also played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
