Treffort-Cuisiat was a small town, also known as a commune, located in the Ain department in eastern France. A commune is like a local government area, similar to a municipality or township.
In 1972, the two separate places, Treffort and Cuisiat, joined together to form one commune. Later, on January 1, 2016, Treffort-Cuisiat became part of a new, larger commune called Val-Revermont.
