Trelleborg Municipality (Trelleborgs kommun) is the southernmost municipality in Sweden. It is located in Skåne County. The main town and administrative center of the municipality is Trelleborg.
This municipality was formed in 1967. It was created by combining the City of Trelleborg with five smaller rural municipalities. Today, it includes more than thirty original local government areas.
Trelleborg Municipality has about 35 kilometers of sandy beaches in the south. To the north, you can find beautiful beech woods. In between these areas, there is some of the most fertile soil in the world.
